Creating a Loving Video™ - Editing

Editing the Loving Video™ is straight forward. The most important part is adding the pictures and text, if desired. The other part is making sure the dates are correct, and choosing the theme and music for the video.

The main video tribute page is shown after the confirmation page. All other pages used to make the video can be accessed from this page. The title of the page is the Video Tribute Story Board, you may also think of it as a menu page. The page starts with a short description of picture size and quality, and provides links to two pages that discuss those issues in more detail.

The page presents five sections after the picture quality section. They are: Correct Dates, Go To Slide Entry Page, Select Theme and Music, Go To Comment Entry Page, and Go To Final Review and Order Page. Five images corresponding to the sections of the menu page that permit changes are shown below, and are discussed in turn.

Changing Dates

You may change the dates of birth and death if necessary. Just change the dates in the first red box and click on the Correct Date button. The edit page will be displayed again with the correct dates. The change date part of the edit page is shown below. NOTE: THE DATES ARE CHANGED ONLY FOR THE LOVING VIDEO™. THE DATES IN THE OBITUARY SHOULD BE CHANGED IF THE OBITUARY IS BEING DISPLAYED ON A PUBLIC WEB SITE.

Change the dates if necessary and click the Correct Date button.

  • General description of picture size.
  • Information on scanning pictures.
  • Information on image compression.
• It is possible to scan more than one picture at a time. We recommend that you scan one picture at a time. We do not guarantee the order of pictures when pictures are scanned together.
• The first picture of the deceased that you upload should be a headshot. The picture is used for the opening and closing of the video and for the cover artwork. Read more about the first picture here.

The next red box opens the theme and music edit page. Click here to view the Theme and Music Selection page. The theme and music page allows you to select the general theme for the Loving Video™. You also may select music from at this page. Our videographers will select appropriate music if you do not select any. Click here to review a description of available themes.

Click on the Select Theme and Music button to view that page.

The next link permits you to enter comments. You can use a comment to tell us which picture to use for the head shots if you do not want to use the first uploaded picture. You also and include a quote if you would like to use one for the final slide. Please click here to review the comment entry process.

Click on the Go To Comment Entry Page button to review comment entry.

The final red box has a button that will display the final check out page. Click the Go To Final Review and Order Page button after you have selected the theme and music and have added all the pictures and any text you may want to include.
