Creating a Loving Video™ - Secondary Picture Upload

Figure 1 shown below is an image of the secondary upload page. It is displayed after you upload the pictures using the primary upload page. Four pictures have been uploaded. The title of the page, "Video Tribute Creation - Order Pictures", describes the primary purpose of the page, which is to change the order of the pictures. The page works easily if one or two pictures are out of order, but is time consuming if many pictures are out of order.

You will see the order of the pictures change immediately. However, the order of the pictures DO NOT CHANGE UNTIL YOU CLICK ON THE "Record Changes" BUTTON. The page will be redrawn after you click on the "Record Changes" button. That is when the changes have been recorded.

There are two steps to move a picture:

1. Click on the picture to be moved.
2. Click on a second picture. The position of the two pictures will swap.

Swap pictures until all the pictures are in order. Then click on the "Record Changes" button. The background of the first picture you click will turn red. The background of each picture will change to a somewhat darker color as you mouse over it. Click on the second picture to swap them. Remember the changes are not recorded until you click on the "Record Changes" button. The following picture shows the page after the last picture was clicked (the one with the red background). The mouse was over the second picture when the screen image was recorded. Click on the second picture would swap the image with the pipe with the image of the Japanese surrender.

You can also use the page to delete pictures, add new ones and to add text slides. These features are hardly ever used, but can be used if necessary. Please note, text slides are considered to be pictures with regard to billing.

Deleting Pictures

To delete a slide click the - below the slide you want to delete. The slide is then marked for deletion. As always, you need to click the "Record Changes" button to actually delete the slide(s). The figure to the left shows a slide marked for deletion. Note that the - has been replaced with a +. Click the + to remove the marked for deletion message and keep the slide.

Adding a Text Slide

Click on the "T" to insert a text slide. Your browser will probably ask for permission to use a scripted dialog box the first time you click on a "T". You probably will need to click the "T" again after you permit the browser to use the scripted dialog. After that you will not have to give permission again, and you will only have to click on the "T" once. Clicking the "T" will insert a new empty slide box. Enter the text you want to place in the video tribute. The text will appear in the slide box. As always you must click on the "Record Changes" button to record the text slide(s). You can edit the text in a slide by clicking on the "T&auot; after there already is text in a slide. An image of the dialog box used to enter text together with a text slide is show below.

Inserting a New Picture

Click the "I" under a picture to insert a new picture. The very plain page shown to the right will be displayed. Use the "Browse" button to navigate to the picture you want to upload. After you have located the picture click the "Add Picture" button. This will place a thumbnail of the image in a new picture box, but the picture has not been sent to us yet. Again you must click on the "Record Changes" button.
