Creating a Loving Video™ - Primary Picture Upload

Figure 1 shown below is an image of the primary upload page. It is used the first time pictures are uploaded. Generally this is the only upload page you will need to use.

When you scan the pictures it is best to save them all to the same directory on your computer. It is important to name them something like 01.jpg, 02.jpg, etc. DO NOT NAME THEM 1.jpg, 2.jpg etc. Your pictures will not be in order unless you are very careful. STORE ONLY THE PICTURES IN THE DIRECTORY. Make sure that the pictures are listed in order in your directory before you add them to the upload list.

Click on the "Add Folders..." button. This will produce the pop-up window shown at the left.

Navigate to the directory in which you have stored the pictures for the video tribute. The folder file image to the left of the directory name wil look a bit opened and the directory will be highlighted, usually in blue. Click OK when you have done this.

The pictures will be appear in the space below the buttons as shown in the following image.

Please note that the send button is now active. Please review teh order of the pictures. They will be in order if they were in order in the picture directory. You can re-order the pictures on the upload page. Mouse over the picture to be moved, the picture will be outlined in red, then hold down the left mouse button, drag it to its correct location, and release the mouse button. You also can rotate or delete the image. The following image a picture when the mouse is over it. Click on the circular arrows in the bottom corners to rotate the image, and click on the X in the upper right corner to delete the image from the upload.

It is better to return to the directory itself and order the pictures there if many pictures are out of order. Just use the browsers back button, then go to the directory itself (not using the browser) and order the pictures. Then return to the upload page and load the pictures into the upload page.

Click the send button when the pictures are shown in the upload window and are in the correct order. The program will start transmitting the pictures to us. The status of the upload will be shown during the upload. The picture to the left shows an example of the status window.

The pictures will be displayed in the secondary picture upload window after the upload is complete. Click here to view a description of the secondary picture upload page.
